Wintergreen Arts Students Publishing Book of Stories
Students in Mrs. Athena Hallowell's After School Arts Program at Wintergreen recently wrapped up a 6-week creative writing and illustrating course.
Throughout the program the students remained focused and achieved their goal, a book titled Our Stories soon to be published and available on amazon.com.
Now that the hard work is done, a celebration of success is in order. On Friday, December 16, at 5:00 pm, Mrs. Hallowell and her students will hold an authors' hour and book signing at the Center. Light refreshments are being served and each student goes home with a copy of their book. Extra copies of Our Stories will be available for sale. Families, friends and members of the public are invited.
The next 6-week session of Wintergreen’s After School Arts Programs begins Monday, November 7, 2016. The theme of the next session is youth theatre and the program is being taught by local playwright Darci Faye. The main objective of the youth theatre program is to dramatize a beloved children’s book and stage it at the end of the session.
