Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender hasn’t yet formed an official 2017 premiere, but its next big threat may already be here. Get a gimpse of Season 3, as Prince Lotor steps in for Emperor Zarkon in our first Season 3 footage.

Where previously ToyFair merchandise indicated a Season 3 premiere in September, a new promo making the rounds suggests an early August return, in addition to our first look at Prince Lotor. The second season debuted on January 20 of this year.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Voltron: Legendary Defender re-imagines the classic animated property, and features among its cast Jeremy Shada (Adventure Time) as Lance, Bex Taylor-Klaus (Scream) as Pidge, Josh Keaton (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) as Shiro, Tyler Labine (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil) as Hunk, Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) as Keith, Kimberly Brooks (Mass Effect) as Princess Allura and Rhys Darby (A Series of Unfortunate Events) as Coran.
