The Aroostook County Underage Drinking Task Force learned of a pit party just off of the Albair Road in Caribou and officers responded at approximately 11:00 p.m.   Caribou police say that around 60 people from the central Aroostook County area were gathered at the unauthorized site.

Caribou Police say at least 15 people face charges of underage drinking. Charges are also forthcoming for three adults, and pending investigation, others may be charged with various crimes. Police say violations include furnishing alcohol to a minor, possession of alcohol by a minor, burning without a permit and littering.

The Aroostook County Underage Drinking Task Force includes a coalition of groups including Community Voices, Drug-Free Communities and CADET and is partially funded by the Maine Enforcement of Underage Drinking Laws grant.
