UMFK to Host Summer Fun Run

Get ready to have some fun and take a run!

The University of Maine at Fort Kent will host a summer 5K Fun Run on Saturday August 1st.

The race will be open to all age groups and race time is set for 9 a.m.

Race-day registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the UMFK Sports Center. All participants who walk, run, or sponsor someone to run will receive a race t-shirt. A rain date has been scheduled for Sunday, August 2.

The fee for the race will be $20 per person and $10 for each additional family member, with proceeds to benefit the Dylan R. Levesque Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Racers will compete in four different age groupings, under age 18, age 18 through 29, age 30 through 44, and age 45 and up. Prizes will be given to the top male and female winner from each division.
