The University of Maine men's ice hockey team is heading back on the road for the second time this season as they face Colgate for two games.

The Black Bears were 3-1 on the season before losing once and tying another game against Miami (OH) last weekend in the first trip outside of Orono during the 2016-17 season.

Colgate is 0-3-2 on the season and has faced four Hockey East opponents (Boston College, UConn, Merrimack) in four of the five games played so far on the season, tying the Huskies and Army.

Mitchell Fossier still leads the Black Bears in both goals and points with six and nine respectively on the season.  Rob McGovern leads the Black Bears in goal with a 3-2-1 record and a 2.70 goals against average.

The Black Bears will face Colgate for two games, with the first starting at 7 p.m. this evening.

Fossier has made some waves for the Black Bears in the 2016-17 season so far and has already taken home two Hockey East Rookie of the Week Awards in three weeks.  Hear his story of coming to Orono from Georgia below:
