49-year-old Brian Violette from Van Buren and 42-year-old Wayne Bouley from Madawaska collided around 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Darrell O. Crandall, Sheriff, Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office said, Bouley was distracted by activity in the car and did not see Violette slowing to make a left turn ahead of him. The vehicles hit when both drivers took evasive action.

Violette’s Escalade rolled over several times and landed on the driver’s side. He was alone in the vehicle and was trapped. The Van Buren Fire Department rescued him and he was transported to Cary Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, said Crandall.

There were two adults and two children in Bouley’s Silverado. They were all transported to Cary with non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicles were extensively damaged. Aroostook County Deputy Sheriff Chad Foley reported to the scene.
