Two juveniles were hurt when the pickup truck they were riding in crashed on Route 2A in Linneus Saturday.

The driver, a juvenile male from Hodgdon, was driving too fast for the snowy conditions, Maine State Police said in a news release Sunday.

Police said the driver was partially ejected from the vehicle, and the pickup pinned his leg to the ground.

He and his female passenger were freed by rescue crews and taken to Houlton Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver was summoned for not wearing a seatbelt.

Police said insufficient tread on the pickup’s rear tires also played a role in the crash.
