A trailer truck left the scene Friday morning after snagging utility lines and breaking four poles at the Hodgdon and Cary Plantation town line on Route 1, said the Maine State Police.

Witnesses said the logging truck was towing an empty trailer as it skidded off the road coming around a corner. It left extensive property damage when it appeared to snag utility lines, resulting in four broken utility poles, said the Sgt. Chad Fuller, Troop F. The crash happened around 7:05 a.m. Friday.

Police want your help identifying the truck and driver. The vehicle is described as a single cab (day cab). It’s painted a dark color and may be damaged. Contact Troop F at 532-5400 if you have any information.
