August 16 - Trooper Bell and Sgt. Fuller responded to Haynesville after a complaint was made regarding suspicious injuries to a male who allegedly fell down a flight of stairs, was in critical condition, and was flown by helicopter to EMCC. The male had two broken wrists, a fractured skull, broken facial bones, and broken ribs.  A second male at the scene refused to give his name and had a cut on his eye and lip which he said were due to a fight with a bear.

After investigation, it was determined that the victim actually fell off an extremely steep and high set of stairs and the injuries were consistent with the fall. The suspicious male discovered the victim in a pool of blood and passed out which caused him to fall and hit his face off the floor, which explained his facial injuries and altered state of mind. The victim remains in fair condition. Troop F was assisted by MCU with interviews at EMMC and the Haynesville scene.
