Oct. 20 – Trooper Saucier and Trooper Marquis conducted a Recertification class for the intoxilyzer at the Houlton barracks.  Trooper Sylvia attended the class.

Oct. 21 – Trooper Doody arrested a 52-year-old Caswell woman for violation of conditions of release after responding to a 9-1-1 misdial at her residence.

Oct. 21 – Trooper Casavant charged a 65-year-old Chapman man with Violation of Conditions of Release after finding a handgun in his residence during a bail search. The male was on bail for MSP charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon and was prohibited from possessing firearms.  It was later determined the male is a felon from a previous drug conviction. The male will be charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.  Trooper Casavant was assisted by MDEA and the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.

Oct. 21 - Trooper Darcy responded to T8 R5 on Route 11 to assist the Forestry Service. A Forestry officer stopped for a broken down vehicle.  The owner of the vehicle had a sealed warrant out of the Aroostook Superior Court in Caribou.  Trooper Darcy learned that the warrant was from MDEA for drug trafficking. Trooper Darcy arrested the man without incident.

Oct. 22 - Trooper Darcy stopped a vehicle on I-95 in Dyer Brook for several violations. The driver had an active warrant, a suspended driver’s license and was on bail. Trooper Darcy searched his vehicle and person and located a small amount of marijuana and a marijuana pipe which was confiscated.  Trooper Darcy arrested the man on the warrant and charged him with Operating after Suspension and Violation of Conditions of Release.

Oct. 22 - Trooper Whalen and bomb K-9 Bailey responded to a bomb call in Searsport.  A search was conducted with no bomb found.

Oct. 22 - Trooper Bell was dispatched to a trespassing complaint in Hodgdon.  A male suspect showed up at the complainant’s house and began pounding on the front door with his hands and feet while yelling to the complainant.  Trooper Bell and Sgt. Fuller located the suspect and after investigation the suspect was found to be under the influence of alcohol which was a violation of his conditions of release. Trooper Bell arrested the suspect.

Oct. 22 – Trooper Saucier responded to a domestic in Island Falls where a 20-year-old male grabbed his grandfather by the throat.  We had responded there several times recently and the male had already been given a disorderly conduct warning which he was subsequently arrested and out on bail for.  He fled prior to our arrival and was located the following afternoon and arrested for DV Assault, Dis Con, and VCR. He was denied bail.

Oct. 25 - Trooper Darcy stopped a vehicle in Oakfield for a motor vehicle violation. Trooper Darcy detected the odor of marijuana.  As a result of the search, Trooper Darcy seized approximately an ounce and half of marijuana and two marijuana pipes.  Trooper Darcy charged the operator for Possession of a Usable Amount of Marijuana.

Oct. 26 – Trooper Michaud charged a 21-year-old man for criminal speed in Caribou. He was traveling 98 MPH in a 45 MPH speed zone.  He advised Trooper Michaud he was late for work.

A productive weekend with the Troop making 4 OUI arrests.  Trooper Lilley (2) - Trooper Monahan and Detective Clark with one each.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties.
