Nov. 24 - Trooper Lilley responded to the Laundromat in Island Falls for a report of a theft. Victim reported that she had left clothes in washing machine and when she returned to put them in dryer, she was missing an item of clothing. Victim noticed another female at the Laundromat appeared to have the item in her mix of clothing but the other female denied it. Trooper Lilley located a tag from the missing item in a garbage can, confronted the suspect and gained a confession from the suspect who admitted to taking the clothing and then altering it to make it look like hers. Female was summonsed for theft and while Trooper Lilley was filling out the paperwork, the female paid her restitution to the victim and kept the clothing.

Nov. 24 - Trooper Lilley investigated a sale of a usable amount of marijuana between two students at a local school. One student was summonsed for possession of marijuana and the other summonsed for trafficking in marijuana.

Nov. 24 - Trooper Darcy stopped a vehicle for a violation on I-95 in Oakfield. While speaking with the driver, Trooper Darcy observed a marijuana pipe hidden in a cup holder. Trooper Darcy called it to the driver’s attention. The driver admitted he had a bag of marijuana in his backpack. Trooper Darcy searched the vehicle, confiscated the marijuana and paraphernalia, and charged the 38-year-old Madawaska man with Possession of a Usable Amount of Marijuana.

Nov. 26 - Trooper Casavant investigated a possible protection order violation in Blaine. A female reported her estranged husband was sending her roommate mail. The female has a protection order against her husband that prohibits contact of any kind. The male is out of state at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Nov. 26 – Trooper Hafford charged Dennis Winchester with 5 counts of Burglary (Class B) 8 counts of Theft (Class C), 7 counts of Criminal Mischief (Class E) and one Violation of Condition of Release (Class E). This was following the execution of multiple search warrants and interviews of victims dating back to December 3, 2013. Trooper Michaud and Trooper Levesque were able to close cases where there was a CODIS hit related to these crimes. Trooper Hafford, Trooper Michaud and Trooper Levesque and Van Buren PD worked together along with the use of social media to locate the owners of the stolen property. Photo and full story here.

Nov. 27 – Trooper Marquis investigated an harassment complaint in Allagash. A male had been drinking and called his sister and two brothers harassing them by phone. The man was served three cease harassment orders on the early morning of 11-28-14 by Trooper Marquis, Trooper Casavant and Trooper Doody.

Nov. 27 - Trooper Bell responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 11 in Moro Plantation. The driver, Adam Mullings from New York, was initially trapped in the 2013 Chevy Silverado, but was able to get out of the truck when Trooper Bell arrived. Mullings escaped serious injury despite his truck snapping a telephone pole off at the base and coming to rest on its side against a stand of trees. The truck was severely damaged. Nov. 28 – Troopers Marquis, Casavant and Doody conducted a bail check on another Allagash man. The man is out on bail and one of his conditions is not to possess any firearms or dangerous weapons. A search was conducted and a fully loaded revolver was found in his freezer, with extra bullets in his pockets. There were also two warrants on him. He was taken to the Caribou PD on the warrants and he was charged with a bail violation.

Nov. 28 - Trooper Monahan responded to a report of a party in Castle Hill. After investigation a male subject was summonsed for failure to report an accident and female was summonsed for possession by consumption.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties.
