May 4 - Trooper Saucier investigated a string of bad check cases dealing with several different businesses in Northern Penobscot and Southern Aroostook. The female was located and summonsed by Trooper Darcy.

May 4 - Trooper Saucier investigated a gas drive off in Sherman. The operator is known and will be given a chance to pay or be charged with the theft.

May 5 - Trooper Lilley stopped a vehicle for speeding on the Interstate in Dyer Brook and during the stop, discovered small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. The registration on the vehicle was under suspension also and the male operator was on bail conditions. Tr. Lilley summonsed the male for the possession of marijuana and paraphernalia along with VCR and operating with suspended registration and his vehicle was towed.

May 6 - Trooper Lilley responded to Crystal for report of a female heard yelling for help. Upon arrival he located a male and female at the Crystal MDOT lot and although appeared they had been fighting, both denied anything had happened and female denied yelling for help. Charges were levied for criminal trespass for being at the posted lot and both subjects left the area separately.

May 6 - Trooper Hafford responded to an unattended death in New Sweden. Investigation showed a 54-year-old male suffered a heart attack, there was nothing suspicious.

May 6 - Troopers Hafford, Michaud and Stoutamyer assisted Trooper Luce at a fatal motor vehicle crash on High Meadow Road in Perham. A male operator went off the road, struck a culvert, and rolled over. The operator was partially ejected and was killed in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.  More details here.

May 7- Trooper Darcy responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Routes 2 and 212 in Smyrna. One driver failed to stop at a stop sign and struck another vehicle on its side, almost causing the vehicle to roll over. One driver was having slight chest pains and was transported to Houlton Regional Hospital as a precaution. More details here.

May 7 - Troopers Saucier and Stoutamyer investigated a family fight in Smyrna. As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Smyrna woman was arrested for domestic violence assault.

May 8 - Troopers Casavant and Endre arrested a 25-year-old Mars Hill woman for an outstanding warrant stemming from a traffic stop where she was an intoxicated passenger.

May 8 - Trooper Darcy arrested a man on a warrant for unpaid fines on an OUI charge at his residence in Mount Chase.

May 9 - Troopers Casavant and Endre along with Sgt. Haines were called out to assist Crown Ambulance with a suicidal male in Mars Hill. The male was intoxicated, but refused medical assistance and claimed he was not suicidal just depressed and the female caller was misinformed.

May 9 - Troopers Casavant and Endre assisted with traffic control for the Hero Run in Presque Isle to support fallen soldiers. Runners carried large rocks throughout the run in memory of their fallen comrades. Several local and state agencies had representation and officers saluted the rock carriers as they passed by.

May 9 - Trooper Saucier investigated a late report assault on a 14-year-old boy in Patten by his uncle. The investigation is ongoing and DHHS will be notified.

May 9 - Trooper Saucier investigated a theft of moose antlers in Macwahoc. As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old Macwahoc man was arrested and charged with burglary and theft.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties.
