Aroostook County Tourism (ACT) will host a Tourism Summit on Wednesday, May 28, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle.

The summit will focus on Aroostook County's marketing plan for 2014-15. The Maine Office of Tourism will be on hand to look at their five-year strategic plan, plus show business owners how using visitmaine.com and visitaroostook.com can help their bottom line.

In addition, an update on the World Acadian Congress, and how the Nordic Heritage Center is playing a role in tourism in the region.

“The Tourism Summit is an opportunity for individuals in the tourism industry to network with each other and discuss similar issues and concerns they are experiencing in their business,” said Jon Gulliver, tourism developer for Northern Maine Development Commission.
