Three golfers have set the pace at the 50th annual Greater Bangor Open on Thursday after -5 was the lowest score in the round.

Raoul Menard of Canada, Matt Saglio of Florida, and Jesse Larson of Vermont are all in the lead in the clubhouse with a -5 for the first round, which is good for a one stroke lead.  Saglio has won the tournament before, taking the 2010 title by seven strokes.

The defending champion Jon McLean finished up his round with a +1 for the day and was disappointed with his score.  McLean said that he was going to practice later that afternoon, but would need to play a lot better on Friday.

Another former champion in Shawn Warren, who was paired up with McLean, shot a -2 for the day.

A full day one leaderboard can be found at the button below.  The second round of the three day event will begin at 7:09 a.m. on Friday.
