University of Maine wide receiver Micah Wright, defensive lineman Patrick Ricard, and linebacker Christophe Mulumba Tshimanga have been named First Team All-Conference selections by the Colonial Athletic Association, as voted by head coaches of the conference.

Wright caught 39 receptions for 567 yards and had five touchdowns in eight games with the Black Bears in 2016.  The wide out was also listed as an All-Conference Second Team kick returner.  Ricard logged 45 tackles, 13 for a loss, and four sacks for the Black Bear defense in his senior season.  Mulumba Tshimanga led Maine with 86 tackles and had two sacks.

Dan Collins, Max Andrews, Jamil Demby, Earnest Edwards (kick returner), Sterling Sheffield, and Najee Goode were all listed as All-Conference Third Team picks at their respective positions.

The Black Bears wrapped up their season with a loss to New Hampshire over the weekend and had an overall record of 6-5, 5-3 in conference play.

Junior Bryan Schor of James Madison and Tanoh Kpassagnon were named the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year respectively in the conference.

James Madison, Villanova, Richmond, and New Hampshire were selected to be in the FCS playoff field, with the Dukes granted a first round bye.
