What a difference Isaiah Thomas makes. The diminutive guard of the Boston Celtics returned from a knee injury to score 25 points as the Celts beat the Washington Wizards 110-102.

The victory gives the C's a two-and-a-half game lead over the Wiz for second place in the Eastern Conference with 11 games to play. The Celts trail first place Cleveland by two games.

Monday night's game felt like a playoff game. Along with the IT points, Avery Bradley scored 20. Al Horford and Jae Crowder added 16 each.

Bradley Beal had 19 to lead the Wizards.

The Celtics, who are not a great rebounding team, gathered 20 offensive rebounds and out rebounding Washington 54-39.

The Celtics are 45-26 with a matchup with Indiana next, Wednesday night.

NOTE: The Celts vs Pacers game is live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket with coverage starting at 7pm.
