Fort Kent's Austin Theriault won his second ARCA Series race of the season Saturday night in Elko, Minnesota and he won it by a nose - the nose of his car about two feet ahead of second place finisher Christian Eckes.

The victory means Theriault will extend his lead for the ARCA drivers championship points. In six races so far this season he has two wins and five top-five finishes in the six races.

This one was far from easy.

"This hasn't really set in yet," said Theriault. "We need a little time to process this one. We were running fourth or fifth through the middle of the race. Then we put four General Tires on it…that's when it came to life. Those last few laps were rough…definitely a lot of back and forth. We got some marks on the car but we got the win." - ARCA Release

Theriault had the fastest car in practice Saturday afternoon. At pole qualifying in the evening he earned the #5 starting position. He then spent most of the race in the top 10.

But in the final laps, Theriault grabbed the lead, lost the lead, then regained it and held off Eckes at the finish line.

Theriault and the rest of the ARCA circuit have a short turnaround. From Saturday night's short track in Minnesota, the long, triangle track atPocono Racway in Pennsylvania hosts the next race on Friday night.
