An additional 3 inches of snow fell Thursday (April 24) at Caribou, bringing the seasonal total to 150.4 inches. That's still about 4 feet below the snowfall totals in 2007-08, the snowiest winter ever in Aroostook County. Hopefully that's a record that will stand a good, long time.

Here are the 10 snowiest winters recorded by the Caribou weather office:

1.  2007-08  -  196.7"
2.  1954-55  -  181.1"
3.  1981-82  -  159.9"
4.  1972-73  -  153.2"
5.  1968-69  -  151.9"
6.   2013-14  -  150.4" (as of April 24)
7.   1962-63  -  147.6"
8.   1976-77  -  146.0
9.   1960-61  -  144.9"
10. 1971-72  -  137.0"
