As the old saying goes, the show must go on, and on it will after The Weeknd canceled his scheduled performance at the 2016 U.S. Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. The race, which is being billed as the biggest sporting and entertainment ever staged in Austin, Texas, will see The Roots and Usher take the "Starboy" performer's place. Bobby Epstein, who is the Founder and CEO of Circuit of The Americas, believes fans will be happy to see Usher and The Roots in action for the post-race performance.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Usher and the legendary Roots Crew to COTA," Epstein says. "To add an act of this quality and acclaimed status further cements the growing reputation of the Formula One United States Grand Prix as the most fan-friendly and entertaining race weekend, both on and off the track."

The Weeknd canceled his performance at this year's Formula 1 Grand Prix earlier today (Oct. 12), citing his desire to perfect his newest album, Starboy, as the reason. “It is with sincere regret that I am not able to perform at the 2016 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix this year. Playing a show for F1 is an incredible opportunity and I am absolutely certain that Taylor Swift and Usher & The Roots will provide all F1 fans with two unforgettable concerts.”

Fans can see Usher and The Roots rock the post-race show at the 2016 U.S. Formula 1 United States Grand Prix on Sunday, Oct. 23. The Sunday-only race tickets are priced at $99 and three day passes going for $150. Cop yours right here.
