Maine State Police – Troop F’s weekly incident report…

08/12 - Tr. Levesque, Tr. Sylvia, Lt. Cote and Sgt. Harris responded to Bridgewater for a family fight. Juvenile female and mother had been arguing and juvenile had threatened mother with a piece of broken glass. Juvenile was arrested for domestic assault and criminal threatening and after speaking to juvenile intake, released to her father.

08/14 - Tr. Michaud followed up on information he received of a reported theft of tools from 8/6. He obtained a confession from one subject and charged him. The second suspect is being sought. While the first suspect confessed, he also told Tr. Michaud where the tools were sold and Tr. Michaud is in the process of recovering those items.

08/15 - Tr. Flynn went to a residence in Westfield to check for subjects with warrants. Tr. Flynn arrested a 41 year old female and her 17 year old son both for outstanding warrants.

08/15 - Sgt. Haines along with Warden Allan Dudley responded to the Dudley Rd in Castle Hill for a 2 year old boy who wandered off from his yard approximately 20 minutes earlier. K-9’s were started to the scene, but the parents located the child soon after. Sgt. Haines and Warden Dudley spoke to the child and their mother about the incident.

08/15 - Tr. Saucier was called to a residence in Patten for a 47 year old Sherman man there making threatening statements and refusing to leave. The man eventually left, but was soon located and arrested for OUI, Violation of Conditions of Release and Disorderly Conduct. Penobscot SO assisted with the transport to PCJ.

08/15 - Tr. Flynn took a report of a protection order violation in Blaine. The female reported that her ex-boyfriend was texting her. Tr. Flynn spoke to the 27 year old man who is now residing in Portland and he denied having his old phone or texting the complainant. Phone records are being requested and the investigation is ongoing.

08/15 – Tr. Clark responded to a motor vehicle / bicycle crash on the State Rd. in Castle Hill. The 10 yr. old boy did not look or stop after leaving a driveway and went out into the path of the vehicle. The vehicle was traveling below the posted speed limit and quick action of the driver prevented a fatal accident. The boy was not seriously hurt and was not transported to the hospital. He only had minor scrapes and abrasions. The bicycle was a total loss and minor damage to the vehicle.

08/16 - Tr. Ferland was working an OUI Detail when a MV crossed over into his lane. He moved right onto the shoulder and the vehicle still just barely missed striking him in a dense fog on US 1 in Monticello. Tr. Ferland stopped the vehicle operated by an elderly Monticello woman. He did not find any signs of impairment. She admitted that she could not see well and felt maybe she should see an Optometrist. Tr. Ferland charged the woman with Driving to Endanger and had family members come pick her and her vehicle up.

08/16 – Tr. Clark arrested a 24 year old female and a 21 year old male for burglary and VCR after receiving a tip from the Aroostook Crime Stoppers that there was a stolen 80cc youth ATV behind a garage in Fort Fairfield. Tr. Clark had suspected that the ATV was at that location last week when interviewing the female. The property is owned by the female’s mother. Sgt. Fuller was given consent to search the property and with the assistance of the suspect’s brother, the ATV was located down an embankment behind the garage. The brother also provided a written statement about the incident. The ATV was turned over to the victim’s family. Both suspects are on bail and Maine Pre-trial from a separate burglary arrest. Fort Fairfield PD also assisted in the recovery.

08/17 - Tr. Lilley responded to a 9-1-1 hang up call in Island Falls. Upon arriving, it appeared that something was going on at the residence and investigation revealed that husband and wife had argued about perceived infidelities and during the argument the husband had held female down. Male was arrested for domestic assault and transported to ACJ.

08/17 - Tr. Levesque and Sgt. Harris responded to a residence in Mars Hill after homeowner was woken by noises outside and sounds of someone breaking into garage. Tr. Levesque located a male subject hiding in backyard who was extremely intoxicated and who thought he still inside his own house but he was actually across town from where his house was. Investigation found that the male had four warrants for his arrest and he was arrested without incident and transported to ACJ.

08/17 - Tr. Cyr and Sgt. Harris responded to Chapman for report of woman who had possibly been struck by a car. Investigation revealed that the woman was very intoxicated and had been at a residence and was going to leave in her car. Residents at the house took her keys and wouldn’t let her drive and she left the residence on foot with her child and upset. No evidence that she was struck by a car, Tr. Cyr gave the woman and her child a ride home.

08/17 - Tr. Levesque responded to a family fight in Mars Hill. Husband reported his wife (they are separated) had argued with him over money and during the argument, she had driven towards him with the car as she was leaving, almost striking him. Female was charged with driving to endanger.

08/17 - Tr. Lilley and Sgt. Bustard responded to a family fight in Staceyville. Boyfriend and girlfriend got into argument because he had come home late for supper. Female flew into rage and assaulted the male, scratching his chest, back and face as she struck him. Both female and male were intoxicated. Female was arrested for domestic assault and transported to PCJ.

08/18 - Troopers Saucier and Sylvia responded to two business burglaries in Smyrna. RC Logging Supplies and the Brookside Restaurant were both victims. Det. Jackson was working the Rt. 2 detour and assisted as an ERT.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties. In addition, the Troop patrols Interstate 95 from Sherman to the Canadian border in Houlton.
