United Way of Aroostook

Non‑profit health and human service organizations serving Aroostook County citizens may apply to United Way of Aroostook for funds that were raised during the annual fundraising campaign.

The United Way of Aroostook is adding a new division for its Northern Star 2018 competition.

The United Way of Aroostook is partnering with The County Federal Credit Union to sponsor the 2018 Aroostook CA$H Coalition and the Free Tax Return Preparation Program.

Its management and employees believe service and dedication to the communities they serve are of utmost importance.

Each year, students from the Presque Isle High School Varsity Club help the United Way of Aroostook organize and pack the toys that the community donates.

As part of its ongoing commitment to community wellness, The Aroostook Medical Center (TAMC) has donated $5,000 to support the Riverside Park Community Playground Project in Presque Isle, becoming the first donor at the “Crusader” level of the project.

Winters in The County are harsh and long, causing folks to turn up their thermostats as soon as September and often times requiring heating resources well into the spring.

On Wednesday, August 9, Aroostook County Action Program staff and volunteers visited with children in Presque Isle as part of their sponsorship of United Way of Aroostook and TAMC’s Summer Gap Feeding Program, designed to provide nutritious foods for children who are not yet back in school.
