The Aroostook Medical Center has entered the fourth year of its Fit & Fun series, a program promoting community wellness through free and low cost activities.
Three northern Maine individuals and one business will be honored this month when The Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce, Presque Isle Elks Lodge, Presque Isle Kiwanis Club and Presque Isle Rotary Clubs present annual awards to recognize those who have contributed significantly to improving lives of others in the area.

This holiday season marks the ninth year that TAMC is holding a Lights of Life event to raise awareness and support for cancer care in Aroostook County, ultimately benefiting friends, neighbors and loved ones who are battling the disease. The hope is to raise at least $10,000.
The County Dialysis Center, the only kidney dialysis service in Aroostook County and the only not-for-profit center in Maine, held a ribbon cutting and open house Thursday with patients, health care providers and business and community leaders at its expanded and updated facility located at the North Street Healthcare in Presque Isle.
