About 200 Maine residents gathered Wednesday night to rally for decency and to call for civil discourse following Republican Gov. Paul LePage's obscenity-laced tirade against a Democratic legislator.
Governor LePage later told reporters that he wishes he could shoot Rep. Drew Gattine, who he called a 'little runt,' and that he 'would point [his gun] right between his eyes.'
Maine Gov. Paul LePage has written a letter to U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack threatening to pull Maine from administering the food stamp program because of a dispute over allowing sugary foods and drinks to be purchased with food stamps.
Maine legislators are challenging Governor Paul LePage to take a drug test to prove he's "not sitting around smoking pot all day," a phrase he often uses to describe his political opponents.
