Fire marshal investigators say Sunday morning's fire in Boothbay which killed two men and injured four others started in a first floor living room, but they have not yet pinpointed the cause. The home was rented for a belated 50th birthday for one of the men who died. Several friends had attended a birthday party at the home the previous evening.
The State Fire Marshal's office says two people have been killed and four others injured in a house fire this morning in Boothbay. The four injured were taken to hospitals in Damariscotta and Portland. The fire on Pleasant Cove Road was reported just before 8 a.m.
