Penobscot County continues to be the hotbed for Maine's coronavirus outbreak in early October with 97 new infections and three COVID-19 deaths reported on Friday.
The Maine Center for Disease Control on Wednesday reported 29 COVID-19 deaths and 836 new coronavirus cases following an earlier report that included only partial data for the day.
The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday reported two COVID-19 deaths and 738 new coronavirus cases in the state. Aroostook County added 29 new cases.
The Maine Center for Disease Control reported 925 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, a new single day record for the state. Maine had more than 13,000 new cases in September.
