A man was  arrested Tuesday in connection with a theft last month at the Scotiabank branch in Edmundston.

CIMT reports Sébastien Aubé was accused of robbery and wearing a disguise for a criminal purpose.

On November 18, an employee of a business who was going to make a deposit in the kiosk outside the bank was surprised by a masked man. According to the denunciation filed in court, the suspect reportedly used violence against his victim.

The Crown opposed Aube’s release. Before his next appearance, he will be sent to the Restigouche Hospital Center in Campbellton for a medical assessment.

He will be back before the judge on January 19, 2017.
