Straight Outta Compton star Jason Mitchell is under investigation for allegedly attacking a woman in a Boston hotel. According to TMZ, law enforcement was called to the hotel early Monday (Aug. 1) morning, after an 18-year old woman accused the 29-year old actor, who played the late Eazy E in ...Compton, of physically assaulting her.

The argument allegedly began when the woman attempted to crash a Mitchell-hosted party at the Ritz Carlton. Witnesses have said that the woman became upset after she was turned away and then struck Mitchell. According to the report, obtained by TMZ, she told police the actor grabbed her arms, threw her to the ground by her hair, called her a bitch and then fled the scene. Other guests reportedly heard the woman screaming for help in the hallway.

Mitchell has allegedly been banned from the Ritz.

It looked like Mitchell was having a good time in Boston. Prior to this alleged incident, he'd posted photos on Instagram and was in a video with a fan looking pretty happy. A good day can always end on a bad note, though--we'll see what details surface.

Straight Outta Compton was one of last year's runaway successes, making instant stars out of Mitchell and his co-stars. The N.W.A. biopic also received it's fair share of backlash, from Dee Barnes' op-ed condemning the film for glossing over both the women who were part of N.W.A.'s history and the group's misogynistic legacy; to former manager Jerry Heller filing a lawsuit against the filmmakers for defamation due to his portrayal (in the film Heller is played by Paul Giamatti.)
