The West District RCMP is asking for the public's help to locate a snowmobile they say was taken recently from a business in the Edmundston area.

Police say that sometime during the early evening hours of March 7, the snowmobile was stolen from a business on chemin Deuxième Sault in Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska.

The snowmobile is described as a white and purple 2016 Yamaha SR Viper with PEI license plate number 8S34, according to Sgt. Michel Ouellette.

Anyone with information about this theft, or who may know where the snowmobile is now, is asked to call the West District RCMP Saint-Léonard Detachment at (506) 473-3137.
