Police say Suitter's body was discovered by a friend on Sunday evening who had gone to check on him after his red Ford F-150 pickup truck was found stuck in a snowbank about a half mile from his home.

Detectives spent much of the day on Monday gathering evidence from the scene where the truck had gone off the road and also from Suitter's home.

Police say Suitter had lived at the Hillview Avenue location for the past 20 years.

The truck will be transported to the State Police crime lab in Augusta and an autopsy on Suitter is scheduled for Tuesday morning at the State Medical Examiner's Office.

Detectives are asking for the public's help in providing information from anyone who may have seen Suitter or his pickup truck over the weekend. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the State Police barracks in Houlton at 532-5400.
