Maine State Police have arrested a suspect in Tuesday’s daylight robbery of the East Mill Federal Credit Union in Patten.

Police received a 911 call shortly after 2:30 p.m. reporting the bank on Church Street had been robbed. The caller stated that a man had walked into the bank, demanded money and fled on foot. State Troopers, Game Wardens, and Aroostook and Penobscot County Sheriff's Deputies converged on the area and began a search for the suspect.

Trooper Tim Saucier has been investigating the robbery and on Thursday morning he arrested 59-year-old Bryan Ingalls of Patten for the crime.  Ingalls was charged with robbery and was transported to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor. Bail has been set at $40,000 cash.

State Police say an undisclosed portion of the money and other evidence was recovered during the investigation.

The investigation is continuing.  Police encourage anyone with information regarding this crime, to call Trooper Saucier at the State Police Barracks in Houlton.
