Maine State Police responded to a snowmobile and pickup crash Wednesday morning on the Cyr Road in Cross Lake Township.

Trooper Nathan Desrosier responded to investigate the crash  at approximately 9:56 a.m.

According to police, 20-year-old Coy Cooley of Cross Lake was operating a 2002 Ski-Doo snowmobile going westbound and was crossing the Cyr Road. At that point, a 2014 Chevrolet pickup operated by 56-year-old Daryla Simon of Woodland was traveling eastbound on the same road.

Police reported that Cooley did not see Simon due to a curve in the road and crossed into the path of Simon and struck the front of her pick-up truck.

Cooley was transported by Ambulance Services, Inc to the Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Simon was wearing her seat belt and was not injured.
