Not that there was any doubt about the Senior League World Series move from Bangor to Easley, Sout Carolina, but Little League Baseball has now officially approved 2017 tournament dates.

For the Senior League age level (age 13-16) the world series event will be held next July 30th through August 5th - at Easley Recreation Complex in Easley, South Carolina.

Back in August, Little League officials announced the termination of the 'Big League' level (age 17-18) of baseball and softball. And, at the same time decided to move the SLWS tournament from Bangor to the Big League World Series site in South Carolina. Little League cited the cost and logistics of travel to bring teams to Bangor as the major reason for the shift.

The SLWS was in Bangor for the past 15 years with Mansfield Stadium being the host site.
