The arrests were made in the communities of Benton, Kilburn, Kintore, Plaster Rock, and on the Tobique First Nation, said police.

All of the individuals were men, ranging in age from 28 to 60 years old, police said. They were released on promises to appear in Woodstock Provincial Court on various dates in 2016.

There is a concerted effort by police around the province to identify and get impaired drivers off the road,” said Cst. Emily Rafuse of the Woodstock RCMP. “The public also plays an important role, and by calling police to report a suspected impaired driver, you could help save a life.
