Now in its 15th year, the United Way of Aroostook's Northern Star competition will be hitting the stages in northern, central and southern Aroostook.

The call goes out to talent of all ages to compete in the three regional shows. There are two divisions. The Junior Division for individuals or groups 12 years old or younger. Everyone else will compete in the Regular Division.

The three Regional Shows will take place Friday, March 8th at 7PM at Fox Auditorium in Fort Kent; Saturday, March 9th at 7PM at PIMS Auditorium in Presque Isle; and Sunday, March 10th at 2PM at the Community Arts Center in Houlton.  The finale will be held on Sunday, March 24th at 2PM at the Caribou Performing Arts Center.

Events this year will include performances by 2018’s Northern Star Jacob Graham of Presque Isle and the first ever Junior Northern Star, Sadie Cairns from New Canada.

Audiences will choose two individuals or groups from each region to advance to the finale along with one act chosen by the judges. Audience members will select the one individual or group from the Junior Division to move on to the finale. Each contestant will be judged by a panel of local celebrities.
