Trooper John Darcy said the bus driver, 80-year-old Roberta Sanborn of Lebanon, did not come to a complete stop at an intersection on Center Road and drove into the path of the car. The crash took place at 7:45 a.m.

The only student on the bus was a nine-year-old boy who was accompanied by an adult assistant. Police said there were no injuries on the bus, but the driver of the car, 20-year-old John Izzarelli of Lebanon was taken to Goodall Hospital in Sanford with minor injuries.

State police say there was minor damage to the front end of the bus. The car, a 2010 Subaru Impreza, sustained more serious damage. The bus driver was not cited.
