Saint John Woman Killed in Farm Tractor Accident

A 66-year-old woman was killed Thursday evening while attempting to secure a trailer to a farm tractor in a coastal town in northeast New Brunswick.

Caraquet RCMP responded to the scene on the side of Route 135 in Pokeshaw at approximately 8 p.m. The Saint John woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Cpl. Matthieu Gauthier.

An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and the coroner are assisting in the investigation to verify the cause of death.

The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of her family.
