Saint John Man Wanted on Canada-Wide Warrant in Child Exploitation Case

The RCMP in New Brunswick has released the photo of a Saint John man wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant in connection with an online child sexual exploitation case.

Police say that on January 8, 2016, 43-year-old Richard (Ricky) Michael Michaelson was charged with child luring and extortion. Michaelson is accused of extorting images of a sexual nature from an underage girl and threatening to distribute the images online.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred between July and October 2014. A Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest.

Michaelson is described as Caucasian with a slim build, measuring about 173 cm (5’8”) tall and weighing approximately 58 kg (128 lbs). He has short, light hair and blue eyes.
