It was a good start to the ALDS for road teams with the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros picking up game 1 wins.

The Astros picked up a 5-2 win in Kansas City thanks to George Springer who had 2 hits including a monster home run and Jose Altuve who collected 3 hits and an rbi. Colby Rasmus also homered for Houston for the second consecutive playoff game.

That offense was enough for the Astros pitching staff as Collin McHugh went the first 6 innings and allowed just 4 hits. The bullpen went the rest of the way and only gave up a combined 2 hits. Game 2 of the series is today at 3:30pm.

Not many teams have out homered the Toronto Blue Jays this season but in game one of their series the Texas Rangers did just that on their way to a 5-3 win. Roninson Chirinos blasted a 2-run homer while Rougned added a solo shot.

Injuries were also a story in this game as the Rangers Adrian Beltre left the game with back spasms. The Jays lost Josh Donaldson with a concussion and Jose Bautista left with cramping in his hamstring.

You can hear game two of the series today at 12:15 on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
