For the first time in 16 years a new face will take the reigns of the Lewiston High School football program as Bruce Nicholas becomes the new head coach.In a report by the Lewiston Sun Journal, Nicholas has been approved bt the school board to take over a head coach following the retirement of Bill County who retired after last season.

Nicholas has 16 years of head coaching experience after serving in that role two different times at Oak Hill. He has been an assistant the last three seasons at Lewiston and was their defensive coordinator the last two.

Lewiston who last won the class A state championship in 1987 will try to bounce back from a 1-7 season a year ago.
