The West District RCMP is seeking public information that could help in their investigation of a suspicious fire in St. Andrews, N.B.

Monday, shortly after 3:00 a.m., members of the St. Andrews RCMP responded to a report of a structure fire on Water Street. The fire damaged the former Cottage Craft building located on the St. Andrews waterfront, which was under renovation. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. No one was inside at the time of the fire.

The investigation has led police to believe the fire may have been deliberately set.

Police are asking anyone with information, or who may have seen anyone in the area before the fire to contact the St. Andrews RCMP at 506-755-1130.
