RCMP Seeking Info on Armed Robbery at West Main St. Econolodge in Moncton

The Codiac Regional RCMP is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a hotel overnight.

According to the RCMP, on Tuesday at approximately 12:30 a.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Econolodge on West Main Street in Moncton.

A man with his face covered by a black bandana entered the lobby armed with a weapon and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident, said police.

The man is described as being between 5’8” and 5’10” and spoke English.
