On June 21 and 22, 2016, members of the Grand Falls RCMP, with the assistance of officers from the New Brunswick Department of Public Safety’s Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement Unit, conducted an off-road vehicle enforcement operation in the Saint-André, Grand Falls and Drummond areas .

Cst. Alex Roussel of the Grand Falls RCMP said all of the off-road vehicles were stopped because they were being driven illegally on the road, something police get reports of often in these areas, “It’s illegal and dangerous for off-road vehicles such as ATVs, dirt bikes and snowmobiles to be driven on public roads and highways.”
