RCMP Arrest Man 11 Years After Death of New Brunswick Girl
The RCMP have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the 2004 suspicious death of 2-year-old New Brunswick girl. **NOTE: THIS STORY HAS JUST BEEN UPDATED HERE.
On April 2, 2004 in Blissville, Kennedy Ann Corrigan suffered a massive brain injury that resulted in her death at a Halifax hospital one week later. At the time, it was alleged that the toddler had fallen in the tub and bumped her head.
Police say medical evidence at the time of Kennedy's death supported the police theory of a non-accidental death, but was not definitive.
New evidence has led to the man’s arrest on Tuesday, according to RCMP Constable Jullie Rogers-Marsh.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released, is scheduled to appear in Burton Provincial Court on Wednesday, June 3.
