Is there was any doubt about the value of Isaiah Thomas, that doubt was erased Friday night when the Toronto Raptors came to Boston Garden and beat the Thomas-less Celtics 101-94.

This was an early season battle to see who really is the second best team in the east and after a 21-3 third quarter run by the Raptors, it became clear that they are #2 at the moment.

The Toronto guards killed the C's - Kyle Lowery scored 34 points and DeMar DeRozan had 24.

The Celtics got 19 from both Avery Bradley and Al Horford.

The C's fall to 13-10 while Isaiah Thomas mends from a groin strain. No word on when he will return to play.
