Rams, Witches Win Q-Final Games [SCORES]

The #1 seeded Bangor Rams got past #9 seed Hampden 8-2 in a Thursday afternoon quarterfinal playoff game. The Rams next opponent will be Brewer.

The Broncos had Bangor pitcher Trevor DeLaite on the ropes in the second inning. The game was tied 2-2 and Hampden had the bases loaded. That's when DeLaite induced Jackson Gilmore into a 5-2-3 doubleplay.

From that point forward no Hampden player reached base. DeLaite retired the final 15 batters in a row.

Derek Fournier was the hitting star for the Rams with three hits and three RBI.

The Rams move on to the semi-final round Saturday against Brewer. The Witches won their playoff game 6-3 over Lawrence.
