If you didn't get a chance to check out Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain during its glorious return to the big screen last weekend, you have an opportunity to do so now.

AMC Theaters has announce that it will add the movie to 200 more cinemas this weekend due to popular demand. AMC previously announced it would show the film in 87 theaters following Prince's death.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. isn't disclosing the ticket sales numbers so far, but AMC insiders say the film has the highest percentage of sold-out shows of any title playing in those 87 theaters.

This bittersweet news is a testament to Prince's influence and musical legacy that has certainly touched people here stateside. Don't miss out on catching a great film starring the Purple One, Time and introducing Apollonia 6.
