Hunting season is in full swing here in the County and there's nothing like shooting an eight-point buck over the Thanksgiving Day Weekend.

That's exactly what Jeff Gagnon did in Ashland today.

If you were driving down Main Street this morning you might have seen the buck hanging in the parking lot of Ben's Trading Post in Presque Isle.

The buck weighed in at 170 pounds and was already gutted when they hung him.

According to Gagnon, he shot the deer right through the lungs. You could see the point where the bullet entered the deer.

No doubt, we'll hear more good hunting stories as the winter moves along here in the County.

Once again, congratulations to Jeff Gagnon who shot a nice buck. He'll be able to tell friends and family that that was the one that didn't get away.
