Troopers were called to the Ladner Road in Easton shortly before 4 p.m.. according to Sgt. Jeff Clark. Thirty-six-year-old James Dumond was driving a 2002 Chevy S-10 pickup west on the Ladner Road and failed to negotiate a curve, Clark said. The truck went off the right side of the road and struck a culvert, causing it to roll over.

Trooper Ryan Kilcollins and Corporal Dennis Quint responded to the scene. Sgt. Clark said it was determined that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

Police say Dumond was wearing his seat belt and sustained minor injuries. There was a passenger in the truck who was not injured in the rollover.

Dumond was charged with OUI and transported to the Aroostook County Jail. He is scheduled  to appear in Presque Isle District Court on December 23.
