A Maine man is heading to prison for possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, also known on the streets as "crack."

24- year old Tem Tom, of Portland, was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court by Judge D. Brock Hornby to seven years in prison with eight years of supervised release for the offenses.

According to court records, on February 2, 2017, law enforcement was conducting a surveillance in the Portland area and approached a vehicle of whom Tom was a passenger, after a suspected drug transaction, and seized more than an ounce of crack cocaine and $3,580.
