Porcello Named Comeback Player Of The Year
Red Sox starter Rick Porcello was named the American League Comeback Player of the Year by Major League Baseball.
Porcello, who also won the AL Cy Young award, wrapped up a 22-4 season with Boston, along with a 3.15 earned run average. The righty appeared in 28 games in 2015 and won just nine contests with a career worst 4.92 ERA in his first season with the Sox.
Anthony Rendon of the Washington Nationals took home the honor in the National League. Mark Trumbo and Jose Fernandez won the Players' Association version of the award earlier this month.
